The study identified three main diseases that people often suffer from metal recycling activities which are respiratory diseases digestive diseases and eye diseases. Especially these three diseases occurred in the age group of 18-50 years old with the rate of respectively. The cost of illness analysis shows that the cost to pay for illness in Van Mon commune is million VND three times higher than that in Tam Giang commune million VND where there is no metal recycling activity. Using the multivariate regression model shows thatdistance occupation age and income are the main factors that affect the incidence of people. The study proposes a number of solutions such as relocating metal recycling areas out of residential areas training for labor in participating metal recycling and raising awareness of cleaner production to reduce environmental pollution health improvement for people in the metal recycling villages.
