That is the goal stated in the Resolution No. 23-NQ TW on the orientation to formulate national industrial development policies by 2030 with a vision to 2045 issued on March 22 2018. . In the renovation process the establishment and development of industrial zones IPs export processing zones and economic zones have created a driving force for the industrialization and modernization of the country. By the end of 2018 the whole country had 326 industrial zones established attracting more than 15 000 domestic and foreign investment projects with a registered capital of 970 trillion VND of domestic investment capital and over 145 billion USD of foreign investment capital. In addition to the contributions to socio-economic development national security and the situation the system of industrial zones still has many shortcomings affecting some aspects. The planning of the industrial zone system has been integrated in the system of construction planning and nationwide urban planning with a vision to 2050 with specific objectives criteria and organization associated with reality and long-term vision. In the context of international integration and the development of the revolution Vietnam needs to look forward to renewing restructuring and perfecting the model of industrial zones to keep up with the global trend. The development of industrial zones must ensure the harmonization of interests long-term socio-economic efficiency environmental protection and sustainable development as the highest goals.
