THE PROBLEM STATEMENT Mekong River is the longest river in Southeast Asia and is ranked as the 12th longest river over the world. Therefore it plays a crucial role in the socio - economic development of countries into this area. Tien River is located in the downstream of Mekong River Basin which passes through the upper Mekong River Delta and a part of the river which belongs to Dong Thap province plays vitally important role for developing of socio - economic activities in the province. However the variation of river channel includes erosion and deposition in recent years has considerably happened that is not only frequency but also space. Against those milieu there have been a myriad of studies and projects published to implemented on limit the fluctuations especially in erosion.
