Patients and methods A retrospective descriptive study was conducted with simple random sampling. 20 patients underwent a pancreaticoduodenectomy at the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery Vietnam National Cancer Hospital between October 2021 and October 2022. Assessment before discharge excellent 40 good 40 average 20 . Conclusion The pancreaticoduodenectomy is a major surgery with high risk of postoperative complications requiring nursing care and close monitoring.
