Click Start Control Panel. 2. Click the System icon. 3. Click the Computer Name tab. 4. Type text into the Computer text box. You directly add or change the name this way. No requirement says a computer must have a description. 5. Click the Change button. Now you can make changes to the full computer name or to the workgroup name.
