Topsoils are formed over hundreds or thousands of years. It is critical to know how they are formed and structured in order to know how to sustain Earth's topsoils. Chapter 8 provide knowledge of soil. Need fertilizer for agriculture Aridsols- dry lands + desert, lack of vegetation, lack of rain unstructured vertically, irrigation leads to salinization because of high evaporation.
