Viticulture in India is considered to be one of the most remunerative farming enterprises due to high monetary returns. Grape culture is laborious one and sensitive to climate. Pruning is the most important operation in grape and its standardization is of utmost important in determining fruitfulness, yield and quality. Pruning practices adopted in the vineyard is largely dependent on vine growing environment, variety and season.
