Groundwater sharing using Community Based Sprinkler Irrigation System (CBSIS) is an optimal way of using groundwater to protect kharif crops in semiarid regions. CBSIS designs were studied in three mandals viz. Garladinne, Nallamada and Goothy of Ananthapur district, Andhra Pradesh in India.
