Phân tích mẫu vật thu được qua 2 đợt khảo sát trong năm 2018 tại 17 điểm thu mẫu ở một số kênh rạch thuộc thuỷ vực chính của tỉnh Sóc Trăng đã ghi nhận được tổng số 38 loài động vật phù du, thuộc 3 ngành, 6 lớp, 9 bộ, 20 họ, 26 giống, và 5 dạng ấu trùng. Zooplankton were collected in surveys in June and October 2018 at 17 sampling sites. A total of 38 species belonging to 3 phylum 6 classes 9 orders 20 families 26 genera and 5 larvae were recorded in 2018. Among them 30 species and 5 larvae were collected in June and 37 species and 4 larvae were collected in October. The number of species and the density of zooplankton ranged from 4 to 22 species sampling site and from 1 650 to 208 500 individuals m3 respectively. The species composition was quite stable through two separate surveys and they were characterized as inland freshwater species of protozoa rotifera and arthropoda. The dominant species of zooplankton at sampling sites were recorded to belong to Mesocyclops spp. Pseudodiaptomus incisus Microcyclops varicans Copepodid Copepoda and Moina macrocopa Cladocera .
