Cá sóc Oryzias curvinotus thu nhận từ Trung tâm Công nghệ Sinh học Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Việt Nam, được nuôi trưởng thành và có khả năng sinh sản, cho cá đực và cái thụ tinh để tiến hành thu phôi. The one-day-old fish embryos is harvested and exposured to differenct concentrations of o p -DDT as follows µg L and 0 µg L the control sample . After 24 hours and 48 hours of testing most of the fish embryos were not able to survive in which the concentration of µg L recorded the highest mortality rate of and 75 comparing with the control sample has the survival rate of 100 . The LC 50 values at 24 hours and 48 hours were µg l and µg l respectively and the testing concentrations all strongly effected the heart rate of fish embryos. The observation of morphology and structure also found defects malformation in the spine and eyes of fish embryos. The presence of o p -DDT in water has caused disadvantages for the growth and development of aquatic animals in particular and the water ecosystem in general.
