Continuously Operating Reference System CORS has been establishing with its density covering from Northern to Southern to apply for geodetic surveys in Vietnam. Currently CORS station is studied to investigate its precision and how to apply it more effective in different areas especially in construction survey. This paper studies ability of CORS application in establishing large-scale map and setting-out road construction. A real project of road construction is used to investigate the precision of CORS station in establishing the large-scale map and layout the central points of road in construction stage. CORS measurement results in experiment are compared to the accuracy technical standards of each item and other traditional methods to assess the precision of CORS measurement then the ability of CORS application could be proposed to use in road constructions. The results show that the precision of CORS measurement satisfy to establish the larg-scale maps and layout the central points of road constructions. According to experiment CORS application shows more effective than other traditional methods in measurement on side.
