Giáo dục QP-AN có vai trò đặc biệt quan trọng trực tiếp góp phần hun đúc bồi đắp truyền thống yêu nước lòng tự hào tự tôn dân tộc hình thành phát triển phẩm chất và năng lực cho HS sinh viên SV ngay trong môi trường học đường bảo đảm kết nối chặt chẽ giữa các lớp học cấp học với nhau và liên thông với chương trình giáo dục chú trọng giáo dục nhân cách đạo đức lối sống kiến thức pháp .
